Marco Rubio becomes Secretary of Everything meme holding multiple roles

NEWYou can now listen to Fox News articles!

“If you want something done, ask a busy person” is a famous phrase attributed to wise Founding Father Benjamin Franklin and comedy icon Lucille Ball. But if you want the living embodiment of that belief today, look no further than Secretary of State Marco Rubio.

Often politicians are widely satirized for being all talk but no action. We have seen many politicians at all levels of government do their jobs so poorly, or worse, do their jobs so poorly that the consequences have been devastating for our country.

But Rubio flipped the script on that thinking. In fact, he became a meme not because of his inactivity, but because of his effectiveness not just in one job, but in the various other roles bestowed upon him besides his State Department position.

There may be nothing healthier on the internet today than Rubio becoming a meme because he’s good at his job.

RUBIO’S TRUMP EXECUTIVE juggling act grows as MEME-WORTHY ROLE LIST BECAME REAL

At one point in the middle of last year, Rubio served in four positions simultaneously, drawing attention to his hard-working nature and effective results. Rubio’s name comes up when there’s a role to fill, not just in his State Department roles, but also as acting national security advisor, as well as acting interim administrator before USAID’s shutdown and acting archivist of the United States, because he embodies a busy and effective politician who can get the job done.

Rubio’s event became the source of a cute meme on social media. Whenever there’s a job that needs filling, whether it’s a CEO vacancy, an open position at a major sports team, or even an executive from another nation, X (formerly Twitter), Facebook, and other social platforms are filled with mock-ups of Rubio in the role.

Providing even more fodder for the internet, Rubio went viral again after a recent video shared by Trump Deputy Secretary Dan Scavino showed him acting as a DJ and spinning tunes at a family wedding, prompting hilarious comments, including those who labeled Rubio the “Secretary of Everything.”

The internet may be laughing, but they’re casting Rubio as a savior figure, a positioning that will serve him well if he chooses to enter the presidential race in 2028.

Politicians are often known for their scandals, bad policies, farting and angry attitudes. It’s refreshing and quite remarkable when a politician is known as the person you want to turn to when you need to get some work done.

We deserve more Rubios among our representation. In the meantime, we can’t wait to see what real or fictional job Marco Rubio takes on next.
