‘Labour leadership rivals circle’ and ‘Golden boys’ on Baftas red carpet
Almost every newspaper is reporting on the future of Sir Keir Starmer’s premiership following Labour’s disastrous result in the local elections. The Guardian’s headline reads: “Working class leaders pit against each other as Starmer struggles to cling to power”. The report says around 40 Labor MPs have called on the prime minister to set a resignation date as leadership rivals begin to position themselves for a contest.
