Labour MP slams Keir Starmer for ‘soul-destroying’ results | News

Rebecca Long-Bailey has slammed “out-of-touch” Sir Keir Starmer, describing Labour’s local election results as “soul-destroying”.
Speaking to the BBC on Friday, May 8, the Salford MP said: Labor was “torn away from both Reform and the Greens” and lost many “really good” councilors and candidates as a result.
“A lot of residents felt they couldn’t vote Labor this time because of what we were doing nationally,” he said, adding that the prime minister had some re-evaluation to do.
“He needs to realize that many of the slogans, statements and decisions taken in recent months are not welcomed in our society.”
