Lady Gaga distracts herself during rare date night with Michael Polansky after getting slammed by Liza Minnelli

Lady Gaga remained silent after Liza Minnelli criticized her for being “condescending” during her botched presentation at the 2022 Oscars, so there was no doubt a much-needed night out with her love.
The 39-year-old pop star and her fiance, 42-year-old Michael Polansky, were spotted leaving the exclusive, members-only Soho House in West Hollywood after dinner on Friday; has performed very well since the start of the Mayhem Ball Tour last July.
Gaga wore her usual Gothic black outfit, consisting of a turtleneck sweater with elbow-length sleeves and a miniskirt that showed off her shapely legs.
Black boots and dark tones completed her outfit, while her white-blonde hair was styled straight and fell neatly down her back.
Behind her was her lover, wearing a black jacket over black pants and a baseball cap that dwarfed his face.
Gaga, who had recently thanked Bad Bunny for including her in his Super Bowl halftime show, got into a waiting car with Polansky following her, and their driver held the door open for them.
Lady Gaga squeezed in a romantic dinner date with fiancé Michael Polansky on Friday night after Liza Minnelli ghosted her in her upcoming memoir, Kids, Wait Until You Hear This
The couple was spotted leaving the exclusive, members-only Soho House in West Hollywood, with the pop artist wearing her signature Goth black turtleneck sweater and miniskirt.
The outing comes after an exception in Minnelli’s upcoming memoir, Kids, Wait Till You Hear It, which revealed what the 79-year-old Cabaret star really thinks of the pop artist.
Minnelli claimed Gaga asked her to use a wheelchair to present the Best Picture award and that the artist “didn’t miss a beat portraying the good-hearted hero for all the world to see” after she tripped over a line on stage and fell.
The Tony and Oscar-winning actor claimed he was ‘inexplicably ordered, not even asked, to sit in a wheelchair or not be visible at all’. I was told it was because of my age and for safety reasons because I might slip out of the director’s chair, which was complete nonsense***. ‘I said I wouldn’t be treated that way.’
He was ‘heartbroken’ by the turn of events, and was ‘far lower in the director’s chair than I would ever be’. I could no longer easily read the teleprompter above me. ‘How would you feel if you were taken out against your will to perform in front of a live audience and you couldn’t see clearly?’
Minnelli later pointedly recalled: “When I was stuck for a few words, Gaga was by my side and didn’t miss a beat to portray the good-hearted hero for all the world to see.” “I caught you,” he said, leaning over me.’
According to Minnelli, Gaga approached the dressing room after the debacle and asked: “Are you okay?” To which the star replied simply: ‘I’m a big fan,’ ‘I learned that lesson from my mom and dad years ago. In a time of high stress, stay kind.’
Immediately after the Oscars, Minnelli’s best friend, Michael Feinstein, said on the Jess Cagle Show on SiriusXM that the star, the daughter of Judy Garland and Vincente Minnelli, was “sabotaged” by a last-minute wheelchair change and left feeling “very disappointed.”
Minnelli had previously stated that she would never publish an autobiography and said: ‘Tell me when I’m gone!’
The couple’s dinner was undoubtedly a welcome reprieve after Gaga was criticized by Minnelli for being ‘condescending’ during their botched presentation at the 2022 Oscars.

The couple, who have been engaged since April 2024, have not publicly set a date and have recently Rolling stone ‘they already feel married’.

Polansky, who has written several songs with Gaga, later added: ‘We have some interludes and they’re very jazzy. “Okay, can we get married that weekend?” like.
‘We don’t really want a big wedding but we want to enjoy it. In many ways we already feel married, so it doesn’t look like much will change.’
The trendsetting artist (pictured at the Grammys on Feb. 1) won two gilded gramophones, including Best Dance Pop Recording for Abracadabra and Best Pop Vocal Album for Mayhem.
Gaga also shared that she would love to start a family with Polansky. “Being a mother is what I want most,” she said.
Polansky admitted that he was particularly inspired by Sir Elton John and David Furnish, whose sons Zachary, 14, and Elijah, 12, are Gaga’s godchildren.
‘It turns out their children are very happy,’ he said.
‘The most important thing is that it feels like it’s just our family, that’s what we do. ‘With her being Lady Gaga and the art and all that, it’s not something she needs to compartmentalize apart from her relationship with me or her being a mother.’
