Laneway festival 2026: Chappell Roan leads lineup featuring Wet Leg, Wolf Alice and PinkPantheress | Laneway festival
US pop star Chappell Roan will start the Laneway Festival in Australia and New Zealand next year – another coup for the festival directed by Charli XCX this year.
In special appearances for Laneway, this will be Roan’s first New Zealand show and the first Australian shows since the global rise in 2024. The 27-year-old artist will complete the biggest crowd of Reading and Leeds last month with the 90-minute production, Fantasy Castle Stage Set, All-Female Band and Gothic Piasily to Dragted.
The scale of these shows, the artist’s first album The Rise and Fall of A Midwest Princess after the release of the market will be a complete contrast to 2023 when you visit small places on the eastern coast of Australia. Pink Pony Club, Good Luck Babe and Son Donor, Roan’s Camp Cult favorite Bona Fide Superstar, Koçella and Lollapalooza’s ceiling laying and high shows on energy, gender and maximalist theatries.

Since his release in 2005 at Melbourne’s Caledonian Lane, Laneway has expanded to Laneway in Australia and New Zealand, and boasted with more star series such as Stormzy, Fred Again and Haim. However, the festival with Charli and Chappell now entered the super period last year.
This year, Australian actions include Teen Jesus and Jean Teasers, Blusher, Shady Nasty, Armlock, Belair lip bombs and Djanaba. Festival, Gold Coast (February 7), Sydney (February 8), Melbourne (13 February), Adelaide (14 February) and Perth (February 15) began on February 5 in Auckland.
