One person died when a business jet crashed onto a highway in Texas.

Investigator Jose Baeza of the Laredo Police Department said six people were on board when the plane crashed on the Loop 20 freeway Tuesday night shortly after 10 p.m.

It is unclear whether the deceased was on the plane or on the ground; Five police officers were hospitalized for smoke inhalation.
