Las Vegas man charged with double murder at Smith’s grocery store

A Las Vegas man was charged with double murder Tuesday after he allegedly shot and killed his ex-wife and her new husband at their shared workplace.
Police said 43-year-old Alejandro Estrada walked into the Smith’s grocery store where the couple worked and immediately opened fire. He was eventually captured by customers at the store, who held him there until police arrived.
Victims Amanda Rosas and Victor Frias Rosas were pronounced dead at the scene.
Amanda married Rosas last year, but she and Estrada were still in the middle of a tense custody battle over their 12-year-old son and 9-year-old daughter. Estrada owed him more than $2,800 in child support, according to the New York Post.

Police said Estrada was in possession of multiple weapons at the time of the attack. He currently faces 12 charges, including two counts of murder.
“He was completely calm. He had no expression. He had nothing,” customer Paula Milton said. he told the Las Vegas Review-Journal Estrada’s. “You could tell it was him because everyone was running and screaming and it wasn’t a big deal either.”
The incident comes just days after police arrested a Las Vegas high school student accused of killing a homeless woman.

Review Magazine defined The suspect was identified as Dennis Geiggar, a high school student with a history of behavioral problems and anger-related incidents. He was arrested on May 5, but the body of the victim, 61-year-old Marceline Biasini, was found on April 21.

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Municipality said the victim was found lying on the sidewalk in front of a business just after 8 a.m. on April 21 and “suffering from apparent injuries.” Police Department (LVMPD) told Fox News Digital.
Nearby surveillance video captured a brief, suspicious encounter around midnight, the Review-Journal reported, citing police records; The suspect is seen approaching the victim’s area and leaving about a minute later.
“The exact location of the crime scene was obscured by security cameras, but audio video surveillance … captured the suspect approaching Marceline’s location, and seconds later a scream was heard, followed by approximately 61 loud bangs,” the Review-Journal report said.

Geiggar had recently been expelled from a nearby high school for allegedly trying to start a fire on campus. Police said he “had numerous incidents where his anger resulted in punching walls and trash cans” and had attended anger management classes, according to the outlet.
