Lauren Boebert, R-Colo., clinched the Republican primary and began seeking a fourth term after running unopposed to represent Colorado’s 4th Congressional District on Tuesday evening.

Despite notable clashes with House GOP leadership and President Donald Trump, Boebert emerged from the primary largely unscathed, distinguishing herself from three other Republicans who voted with Democrats to advance the Epstein Files Transparency Act.

Rep. Thomas Massie, R-Ky., who, if re-elected in the state’s Nov. 3 general election, would be the only remaining GOP insurgent in the next Congress; Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga.; and Rep. Nancy Mace, R.S.C.

Greene, once an outspoken supporter of the president, resigned earlier this year after the two disagreed on foreign aid, government transparency and federal spending.

Although he is still in office, Massie lost his primary bid to a Trump-backed opponent earlier this year.

And Mace, who was running for governor in the Palmetto State, fell woefully short of winning the GOP nomination after Trump refused to endorse him.

Despite outlasting her GOP colleagues, Boebert hasn’t fully escaped Trump’s wrath. The president noted that Boebert switched districts to run for a safer seat and appeared ready to test the waters against him.

“Anyone interested in running against weak-minded Lauren Boebert in Colorado’s fourth congressional district?” Trump said this in one of his posts: To Hakikat Sosyal In May.

“You may recall that Lauren moved to the district when it became clear that she could not win in her first congressional district. Boebert is campaigning for Thomas Massie, the worst ‘Republican’ congressman in our nation’s history. Although I endorsed Boebert a long time ago, if the right person came along, it would be my honor to withdraw this endorsement and support a good and viable alternative.”

Boebert announced her decision to switch districts before the vote on the Epstein Files in December 2023.

Despite her differences with the White House, Boebert said she remains an ally of Trump.

“I’ve got my friend Thomas Massie down there,” Boebert said. In a post I wrote to X, He posts a photo of Massie with Trump.

“He loves America and is fighting to save it. Below is my friend and President Donald Trump. He risked his life to save this great country. I support both of these men. I have worked with both of them to protect freedom and liberty. And if that angers you, bless your heart,” Boebert wrote.
