Lawsuit Accuses ChatGPT of Helping FSU Suspect Plan Shooting

The family of Tiru Chabba, a father of two killed in the 2025 Florida State University shooting, is now accusing OpenAI’s ChatGPT of helping the suspect plan his attack. The complaint details some of the suspect’s alleged exchanges with an AI-powered chatbot, including instructions on how to use the weapons he obtained. NBC’s Laura Jarrett reports for TODAY.
