Leaders from various communities seek ministerial berth for Prasad Abbayya in Karnataka cabinet

Elders and leaders of various communities, including businessmen, held a meeting in Hubballi on June 15 demanding ministerial berth for three-time MLA from Hubballi Dharwad East Assembly Constituency Prasad Abbayya.

Former MLC Mohan Limbikai praised Prasad Abbayya for his work and said that he has the support of people from all communities for his dedicated and secular work. He said that appointing such a leader as a minister would be beneficial to the region.

Former minister PC Siddanagouda said that the request to make him a minister was pending for a long time and the party top leadership should reward him for his good work.

Foreign businessman GM Chikkamath, who chaired the meeting, said that he had not supported any political party throughout his life, but supported Mr. Abbayya based on his work. He said that a leader who believes in working for everyone came to the meeting to seek the position he deserves.

HDUDA President Shakir Sanadi, Altaf Halwoor, Mohammed Yusuf Savanur, Vasanth Ladwa, Raja Desai, Taradevi Wali, Swati Malagi, Chandrashekhar Alagundagi and Nagaraj Gurikar were among those who addressed the meeting and expressed support for the demand to give ministerial post to Prasad Abbayya.

Anwar Mudhol, Mahendra Singhi and Rajashekhar Menasinakai coordinated the meeting and elaborated on Prasad Abbayya’s contribution to the development of the region.

Prasad Abbayya is unbeaten since 2013 and the winning margin has increased from 13,000 in 2013 to 21,000 in 2018 and 32,000 in 2023.
