Legacy funeral boss Robert Bush has shown no remorse, says victim

Before founding Legacy, Bush worked for a number of funeral directors. He oversaw more than 2,000 funerals during his career.

Many former clients said Bush presented himself as an exemplary, caring mortician; A point made by Emma Hardy, MP for Hull West and Haltemprice.

“He tried to act like he was their friend, like he cared,” said Hardy, who was supportive of most of the families.

He said Bush “exploited the most vulnerable people when they were at their lowest.”

Following Bush’s exposure in June 2024, Peter Moody’s family held a second funeral for him, six months after the first.

His daughter described the initial incident, including how Bush “decommissioned” us and left the family “unable to grieve together.”

“As soon as my father’s curtains were closed, he asked us to go out,” he added.
