Ms. Chrysanthou said that the judge had recklessly indifferent to the consent of Mrs. Higgins, and that he should find “deliberate rape”.

Lehrmann also had a problem with the definition of rape employed by Justice Lee, claiming that an ordinary person was inconsistent with the meaning that he would understand.

In 2022, a criminal case against him was abandoned without any findings against him.
