Leopard Found Dead In Siddipet Forest

SIDDIPET: A dead leopard was found in Godugupally forest area of ​​Doulthabad mandal of Siddipet district on Tuesday. Forest officials came to the scene and took the body to the Biological Park for autopsy.

Leopard movement was being reported in the area for the last two days. Chanda Bikshapathi, a shepherd from Godugupally village, spotted the leopard for the first time on Monday and informed the forest officials. Dubbak forest range officer Sandeep Kumar, divisional officer Ahmad and constable Venu inspected the area and confirmed signs of the animal’s presence.

Forest officials had planned to send a special team from Hyderabad to capture the leopard. Residents of Godugupally and neighboring villages were worried about the movement of the animal as it was reported to have attacked cattle on the outskirts of the village.

However, before the team arrived, the leopard was found dead. Authorities believe he may have died from previous injuries. Local people expressed their relief after the discovery.
