Les Buszynski shares life in Canberra before Lake Burley Griffin | The Canberra Times

At the invitation of the Canberra and District Historical Society, Professor Buszynski will give a talk about growing up in Canberra “before the lake”, before the Molonglo River was dammed in 1964 and Lake Burley Griffin was filled in, creating a new heartland for the city, as well as flooded sites such as the former racetrack that now lies under the lake in the Western Basin.
