Lewis Capaldi reacts to being mistaken for Kim Kardashian’s boyfriend Lewis Hamilton at Coachella and asks ‘is this your first day on the planet?’

Lewis Capaldi responded with typically humorous language on Monday evening to reports that he spent Coachella weekend with Kim Kardashian.

The 29-year-old Scottish singer was mistakenly identified as Kim’s partner Lewis Hamilton by an X account called Distinct Post, which mistook him for an F1 driver.

Capaldi re-shared the post, mocking the confusion and writing: ‘Wow, it’s not nice to have our privacy invaded like this.’

Unable to see the sarcasm in Capaldi’s joke, some X users hit back and said he shouldn’t expect privacy at such a public event.

Capaldi hilariously branded one a ‘silly billy’ and asked the other if he thought it was his ‘first day on this planet’ and that he was dating American reality personality Kardashian, 45.

The account that first shared the post about Capaldi and Kardshian later clarified that they meant Lewis Hamilton.

They wrote: ‘Guys, it was a typo. I accidentally promoted Lewis Hamtilon to *Louis Capaldi [sic].’

Kardashian, 45, and Hamilton, 41, were spotted sweetly linking arms as they arrived at Justin Bieber’s Coachella set on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Ferrari pilot Hamilton looked very cool in his oversized black sweatshirt, which he combined with beige trousers, white hat, sunglasses and black bandana.

The reality TV star is thought to have flown to London on a private jet on Tuesday last week to spend time with her boyfriend Hamilton.

Kardashian is said to have left Los Angeles on Monday evening and arrived in the UK the following afternoon local time.

After landing in Farnborough, Hampshire, the F1 driver was taken to Hamilton’s £18 million home in Kensington, west London.

Sources close to Kardashian say her exhausting journey across the Atlantic was to keep their love alive.

An insider told Sun: ‘Lewis and Kim are two of the busiest people in showbiz, but when they have free time they are determined to do anything to see each other.

‘Kim spent the Easter weekend with her family and then did a photoshoot in Los Angeles on Monday morning, then crossed the Atlantic to see Lewis.

‘They didn’t get to spend a lot of time together because he had commitments back to the US, but it was quality time.’

The Daily Mail contacted representatives for both Kardashian and Hamilton.

The day before landing in London, the couple made it Instagram official.

In a video shared by the F1 driver on Monday, Kardashian was seen sitting in the passenger seat of his red Ferrari.

Hamilton was driving at high speeds in Japan.

He set the video to the song Victory Lap by Skepta, PlaqueboyMax and FredAgain and wrote “WE START AGAIN HERE” in the caption. TOKYO DRIFT VOL. III.’

Towards the end of the video, Kardashian could be seen smiling after Hamilton showed off his drive.
