Lewis Hamilton credits girlfriend Kim Kardashian for making him a ‘happier man’ on stage at Silverstone ahead of British Grand Prix
Lewis Hamilton gave a sweet greeting to girlfriend Kim Kardashian on stage at Silverstone ahead of the British Grand Prix on Thursday.
The stunning 41-year-old racing driver couldn’t resist giving a shout-out to Kim, 45, as she took to the fan stage alongside Oliver Bearman, Lando Norris, Arvid Lindblad and George Russell.
A fan in the crowd asked Lewis: ‘You’ve become a happier man lately, why is that? Could this be a girlfriend?’
‘Do you know why he asks? ‘He needs to know if Kimi needs two towels,’ joked broadcaster David Croft.
Lewis laughed: ‘Yes, that’s a good thing’, then went on to praise the F1 team.
He added: ‘If you spend a year with this team, Ferrari is the most iconic team of all time and they’ve had a tough time.
‘They are a great team and very welcoming. ‘The first year was obviously very difficult but seeing the hard work we put in eventually got us back to where we wanted to be.’
Not forgetting to mention his girlfriend, Lewis added: ‘And of course Kim, of course.’

Footage of Kim walking past the podium for the winner and grabbing the towel, then taking off her sunglasses and wiping her face after the catwalk was sprayed with champagne, went viral on social media.
Since the awkward moment, the Mercedes F1 team have poked fun at the crash by sharing video of 19-year-old Antonelli asking: ‘I wonder, have you seen my towel?’
In a new video, Antonelli is seen getting out of his Mercedes after practice and shouts: ‘Have you seen my towel?’ he asked.
The teenager was given a new white towel with the words ‘From Kim to Kimi’ written on it in black stitching.
Wrapping the towel around his neck, Antonelli added: ‘Thank you Kim.’
British racer Lewis was first romantically linked to SKIMS founder Kim earlier this year, but the Grand Prix marked their first PDA-filled outing.
The duo enjoyed a trip to Japan together and are said to have spent a weekend at Estelle Manor in the Cotswolds, England, and also visited Paris, France, in early February.

They also made a public appearance together on the stadium’s big screen during the 2026 Super Bowl game between the New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks in February.
Lewis and Kim, who was previously romantically linked to singer Nicole Scherzinger and actress Sofía Vergara, had previously known each other for several years.
A source told Us Weekly: ‘Because their relationship first started as a friendship, those closest to them believe this could be the end game for both of them.
‘They are both very determined to make things work no matter how long the distance or how busy they are.’
Meanwhile, Kim, who is the mother of ex-husband Kanye West and children North (12), Saint (10), Chicago (8) and Psalm (7), is said to be taking her new relationship seriously.
A source recently told PEOPLE: ‘[Lewis is] just a laid-back guy with great energy. His family loves him and Kim likes him too. They’re both busy with their careers but they see each other as much as possible.’
It’s said to be ‘more than just a casual hookup’, with an insider adding: ‘It takes a lot to get Kim’s attention and she’s definitely intrigued.’
