Library under construction collapses in South Korea

A library under construction in South Korea collapsed, killing one worker and trapping three people under the rubble.

Four workers were initially buried in the collapse in the southern city of Gwangju on Thursday.

One of them was removed but was later pronounced dead at a nearby hospital, emergency official Ahn Gyun-jae said in a televised briefing.

Ahn said rescuers located a second worker and attempted to retrieve that person.

Authorities brought in cranes, drones, thermal imaging cameras and rescue dogs.
