Lionel Richie thanked fans for their support after he was forced to cancel a string of shows due to an on-stage health issue.
Richie, 77, smiled broadly and danced on stage in a carousel of concert photos posted on Instagram over the weekend.
“Thank you for every message, every kind word and all your love,” she wrote online. “I am fine and grateful to all of you.

About a week ago, Richie was singing a less upbeat tune during his tour opener in Minnesota after having to postpone shows due to “dizziness.”

The United Center announced at the time that Richie’s scheduled concerts in Chicago and Columbus, Ohio would no longer take place due to doctors’ orders.

Almost an hour into the “American Idol” judge’s concert at the Grand Casino Arena, fans noticed a change in Richie.
While singing his upbeat classic “Dancing on the Ceiling,” Richie paused and sat on a platform, then told the crowd he felt dizzy. Minnesota Stars Tribune.
“When you feel dizzy, sit down,” he joked.

In a fan video, Richie moved to the piano, where he performed “Three Times a Lady” while sitting down. Shortly after, he walked away for what viewers initially believed would be a brief interlude.

According to the outlet, fans waited approximately 40 more minutes before receiving an official update on the show’s cancellation.
