Lizzie Cundy furiously DEMANDS Royal Ascot changes their rules on GMB after she was turned away for flouting strict dress code as she insists ‘I’ve never been so covered up’

Lizzie Cundy angrily demanded Royal Ascot change its rules after she was turned away for breaching its strict dress code earlier this week.
The 58-year-old was accused of failing to comply with the strict dress code on the first day of Royal Ascot when she wore a sheer, fishnet suit with a revealing back slit.
But she hit back, saying the outfit was actually beige-lined and gave the illusion of being more racist than it actually was.
And now Lizzie has appeared on Friday’s Good Morning Britain to break her silence and apologize, while also suggesting it might be time for Royal Ascot to get with the times and update its rules.
She was defending the dress she started with: ‘Listen, I will tell you that a galloping jockey could see that dress was not transparent.
‘There was a beige bottom underneath the dress and I’ll be honest Kate, I don’t think you’ve seen me in that many clothes.’

Agreeing, presenter Kate Garraway said: ‘This is the most conservative dressing I’ve ever seen, Lizzie.
‘When I heard you were in such a distressing situation, I thought, ‘Oh my God, I have to look at what you’re wearing’ and ‘oh, that’s okay.’ What are we talking about?’ I said. But this is not good for the Royal siege.’
Lizzie continued: ‘I didn’t follow the rules, but actually I thought I was following the rules and I got a bit of a slap on the wrist and I apologized, which I apologize for, but I believe racing especially, it’s all about fashion.
‘Especially women go and buy their dresses and hats. It’s supposed to be fun and you know that’s how I am.’
Demanding that the rules of the event be changed, he said:’Frankly, I think we’re taking this too seriously. Look at what’s happening in the world. So I follow the rules, but I like to reflect my personality in fashion.
‘Sorry, fashions change, we have to review the Ascot rules every year as fashion looks change throughout the seasons. ‘We need it updated.’
Meanwhile, etiquette expert Laura Windsor said: ‘There are certain dress codes and they are scattered all over the internet about what to wear and there are certain rules that you have to follow and still be fashionable.
‘I’m also a personal stylist, so I understand Lizzie wanted to show her personality through her clothes, but unfortunately it looked a bit see-through, probably because of the nude camisole underneath.’

Just hours before her arrival, Lizzie shared a racy photo of herself in a white lace bra on Instagram.
Speaking to The Daily Mail after Tuesday’s incident, she said: ‘Yes, I got hit in the knuckles but the dress was actually a lot more conservative than things I’ve worn in the past. He had a polo collar.
‘However, I am sorry if I offended anyone.’
Lizzie paired her cream midi dress with a white Saint Laurent clutch, a large feathered fascinator and matching heels.
Transparent or revealing designs are not allowed at the prestigious event and may get you turned away at the door.
