Lloyds Bank and Halifax customers are experiencing problems accessing their accounts today. Thousands of reports were submitted Wednesday through downdetector, a site that records problems on online platforms.

Among the problems experienced by the customers of these banks are problems in accessing applications; one Lloyd customer wrote on Downdetector: “Completely crashed! App not working!” Others said they could not pay. Another customer who went to X told Lloyds: “App not working, fix it.” The bank’s social media account responded: “I’m sorry to hear you’re having issues logging into the app. We’re aware of this, so we’re working on it.” Problems were also reported by Royal Bank of Scotland customers.
