Logan school locked down after suspected gun seen on campus
A high school south of Brisbane was placed on lockdown after a man was seen carrying a firearm near campus on Wednesday.
Police were called to Neridah Street next to Loganlea State High School in Loganlea around 9am and the school was placed on lockdown for 20 minutes.
Officers discovered the 27-year-old was carrying a bag gel blaster.
While he was taken into custody, officers said no one was injured.
In a message sent to parents around 9:30 a.m., school staff confirmed they first called the police and that students later returned to classes.
Police reported that investigations into the incident continue.
The man was not charged.
