Labor MP Wes Streeting has flatly denied rumors that he is challenging party leader Sir Keir Starmer. Sky News Wednesday morning (November 12).
The health secretary lashed out at the source of the briefings, saying: “I think whoever gave this information must have watched too much Famous Traitors.”
Amid fears that the Prime Minister’s job is under threat after the budget, No 10 allies have launched late-night briefings on his behalf. Streeting described the leadership rumors circulating as “unhelpful” and “self-defeating”.
