London will face two days of tube strikes and four days of disruption in April 2026 as passengers are warned of disruption.
Metro drivers are preparing for a walkout this week due to proposed changes to their work schedules, causing significant disruption for passengers. The Railway, Maritime and Pipe Union (RMT) strike will affect the capital again this week with a two-day strike. Metro drivers plan to go on strike on Tuesday, April 21 and Thursday, April 23.
On those days, all strikes last from 12:00 noon to 12:00 noon the next day, although disruptions will continue into the afternoons and evenings of the strike days.
Transport for London (TfL) said the Elizabeth line, DLR, London Overground, trams and most bus routes will operate as normal but are expected to be very busy. A bus strike on Friday 24 April will affect several routes in east London.
