Lone Survivor Shoaib Lost His Parents In Saudi Mishap

HyderabadFamily members of Mohd Abdul Shoaib, the sole survivor of the bus crash near Medina, Saudi Arabia, said he lost his family in the accident on Monday. His brother Mohd Abdul Sameer and his family, who joined the family on the pilgrimage, chose to stay in Mecca.
Shoaib’s cousin Mohd Abdul Ahad said, “We learned that Shoaib called (his brother) Sameer (in Mecca) and told him about the bus accident and how he survived.” The family hailed from Jhirra, Natrajnagar.
Shoaib was sitting next to the driver when the bus hit the diesel tanker. According to one report, he broke a window and jumped to safety. Ahad said Shoaib’s parents, Mohd Khadeer and Ghousiya Begum, died in the accident.
Among the victims were five members of a Mughal family: Irfan Ahmed, his wife Humera Nazneen, their children Izaan and Hamdan, and his mother Sabiha Sultana.
Ahmed’s two brothers reached Hajj House to perform the family’s last rites. They said that Ahmed and his family members spoke to them on Sunday and that they would set out for Medina, which they had planned for a long time to pray.
One of Ahmed’s childhood friends said, “İrfan’s family is broken up, he cannot talk because he lost his loved ones. My friend was a good-hearted, good-natured person who was well-known among his family and friends.”
