The couple has three children; RZA Athelston, 3 1/2, and daughter Rocki Irish, born in September of last year with Riot Rose, 2. During the Celebrity Substitute episode, Rocky also talked about raising his children in a house filled with music. He said he and Rihanna introduced their children to a wide variety of genres, including Michael Jackson, the Beatles, reggae and psychedelic music. “I play all kinds of music to my kids, from old, classic songs by Michael Jackson to psychedelic music and the Beatles, right? A lot of reggae,” he said. “We live in a musical house, so it’s very diverse.”
Earlier this month, Rocky recalled meeting Rihanna for the first time on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. He said they met outside a nightclub in New York City before they became famous, and described the encounter as unforgettable. “It’s obvious it was Rihanna. And I couldn’t get in! The guards didn’t want to let me in,” Rocky said. As quoted by People, “I was with my friend, the late, great Virgil Abloh and Matthew Williams, and we were kind of fighting with the bouncers, and he came out and we immediately locked eyes. I was just in a daze.” Rocky is currently celebrating the release of his fourth studio album, Don’t Be Dumb, which debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 on January 16. Rihanna celebrated this achievement with a congratulatory post on social media. The rapper previously told People magazine at the 2025 Gotham Awards that Rihanna’s support is important, saying family and partner support “means everything.”
