Siobhan McKenna resigns from role at News Corp
Siobhan McKenna, Lachlan Murdoch’s closest adviser, has resigned from her senior role as publishing chief executive at News Corp, the company’s global boss Robert Thomson confirmed on Thursday morning.
McKenna, considered the most influential figure on the News Corp team in Australia, has had his official duties reduced following the sale of Foxtel to British broadcaster DAZN earlier this year.

“As Siobhan has been a transformative force throughout her years at News Corp, her decision, as is her own, is essentially groundbreaking,” Thomson said in a memo to staff.
“He leaves a shining legacy and will be missed by me and all who had the privilege of his presence.”
