M. Leelavathy book corner opened in Thrikkakara library

Malayalam literary critic M. Leelavathy’s works, including the works of a book corner, on Monday, September 22, Pipeline Road in Thrikakara’daki Smaraka Sahrudaya Library was opened. Industry Minister P. Rajeve opened the book corner and published an anthology of Dr Leelavathy, who was 98 years old last week.
Dr Leelavathy, who addressed the meeting, said that the writers were readers who created. After a long time, he attended a public event.
In an official statement, the book corner, ‘Grandhasasalcoppam Kalamasser’ as part of the attempt was established in the library renewed at a cost of more than 7 lakh, he said.
Mr. Rajeve said that book corners were established in the libraries on behalf of five writers living in the Kalamassery election zone and winning the Sahitia Academy Awards. Grandhasasalkoppam Kalamassery project is designed with the vision of renewing libraries in accordance with the needs of the digital age. The Minister said, “Books were distributed to different libraries. A project worth 1 crore is applied for 10 libraries using corporate social responsibility funds,” he said.
Kalamassy Municipality Mayor Seema Kannan chaired the meeting.
