According to AA Roadwatch, this morning’s pickup truck on the M5 has gone from a rush hour headache to a full-blown, mind-crushing rush hour migraine, with traffic delays already stretching to 101 minutes and counting. According to an incident report on the traffic watch website: “Serious delays and delays are increasing on the M5 Southbound for 101 minutes between J19 A369 Martcombe Road (Portishead) and J21 A370 (Weston-Super-Mare). Average speed is five miles per hour.” He adds: “Road closed due to collision and long delays, overturned vehicle on M5 South… All traffic came to a halt around 6am.”
