All traffic is kept in the M60 and the drivers appear to have come out of their vehicles as a police incident develops on the highway.

Emergency services were called before 17:00 due to the man on a bridge. A great Manchester Fire Department and Rescue Service spokesman said: “Today (on Saturday, June 22) at 16:45 after the firefighters, from 8 to 9 M60’dan bridge on the wrong side of a man was called to reports.

“Two firefighters from Sale and Salford and the technical response unit from Leigh quickly joined the stage.

“The crew works and continues with Greater Manchester Police and North West Ambulance Service.”
