M60 traffic LIVE: Chaos on major motorway as traffic comes to halt after crash | UK | News

Motorists on a major motorway are facing serious delays during rush hour following a crash this morning. Traffic came to a standstill on the clockwise section of the M60 during rush hour on Monday.

The collision occurred between junctions 16 at Pendlebury and 17 at Prestwich and Whitefield, according to traffic monitoring service Inrix. The southbound M61 was also affected as traffic moved towards junction 13 at Worsley. Fire crews were also seen participating MEN reports. A post on Inrix said: “Two lanes are closed and traffic is queuing on the M60 clockwise from J16 A666 Manchester Road (Pendlebury) to J17 A56 Bury New Road (Prestwich/Whitefield). Lanes one and two (of four) are closed.”
