Madhuri Dixit avoided being clicked with Sanjay Dutt post-arrest: ‘She was afraid…’

According to Zaveri, Madhuri came to the place with his secretary and a few friends, but when he noticed that Sanjay was sitting on stage, the atmosphere changed.
Once upon a time, Bollywood’s most talked about screen and out -of -screen couples, Madhuri Dixit and Sanjay Dutt’s chemistry in Saajan (1991) triggered rumors of real -life romanticism. The two continued to share the screen space in several films, but the arrest of Sanjay after the 1993 Mumbai explosions changed the dynamics between them.
While the actor was finally released on bail, the film journalist and writer Hanif Zaver recently remembered an incident emphasizing how Madhuri was released after his release.
Speaking with Meri Saheli, Zaveri claimed that he was a witness from the first hand. “When Sanjay Dutt was in prison, the film protested against the arrest of the industry. But Madhuri refused to participate,” he said. “When released on bail, Mahaanta Director Afzal Khan organized a party to celebrate and invite both. Maduri promised to participate and I was there.”
According to Zaveri, Madhuri came to the place with his secretary and a few friends, but when he noticed that Sanjay was sitting on stage, the atmosphere changed. “Instead of joining the cast on the stage, he sat near the cast. He looked worried and disturbing. Shortly after, he and his team quietly left the place,” he remembered.
Zaveri added that a few photographers expect to take their first photographs since the arrest of Sanjay, waiting for the two stars to pos together. “I knew why he left – he didn’t want to be photographed with Madhuri Sanjay,” he said that the actress wanted to avoid any discussion or speculation in ongoing legal proceedings.
Offering more contexts, Zaveri claimed that Madhuri and Sanjay were close before being arrested and that they were willing to settle their mother. “When Sanjay was arrested, Madhuri decided that he was the best to leave. He was also worried that he could be under the investigation. Even his mother asked him to get married – first he thought of singer Suresh Wadkar and then he met Dr. Sriram Nene, whom he finally got married.”
Years later, Madhuri and Sanjay came together professionally for the 2019 film Kalank and marked their first collaboration for more than twenty years.
Both Stars do not explain the nature of their relations to the public, but romance continues to be one of the most talked about episodes of Bollywood-Reminding how love and debate are intertwined in the spotlight of the film industry.
