Madras High Court Chief Justice unfurls the tricolour

Madras High Court Chief Justice Manindra Mohan Shrivastava unfurled the tricolour in ’77.^he Republic Day celebrations were held in the courthouse on Monday, January 26, 2026. He also accepted the guard of honor given by the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel.

The Chief Justice also distributed certificates to 51 Supreme Court employees who completed 25 years of service and distributed certificates of appreciation to five CISF personnel. He also awarded certificates of merit to 10 personnel belonging to the Tamil Nadu State police.

As part of the celebrations, students of Little Flower Convent Higher Secondary School for the Visually Impaired performed a group song and CISF personnel gave a demonstration of various activities undertaken to be prepared to meet security-related needs.

Former Supreme Court judge FM Ibrahim Kalifulla, former Chief Justice of Kerala High Court S. Manikumar, former Chief Justice of Meghalaya High Court S. Vaidyanathan, judges of Madras High Court, Solicitor General PS Raman, Additional Solicitor General AL Sundaresan, Chief Secretary N. Muruganandam and others participated.
