The Madras High Court on Monday, April 27, 2026, dismissed a fresh writ petition seeking an inquiry into the assets declared by Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) president C. Joseph Vijay while filing his nomination papers from the Perambur Assembly constituency for the elections held this year.
First Division Chief Justice Sushrut Arvind Dharmadhikari and Justice G. Arul Murugan refused to entertain the petition as they had already dealt with another case of similar nature and had ordered notice to be sent to the Director General of Income Tax (Inquiry) for return by June 3.
