Madrassa Students Attacked For Pasting Posters In Kerala”

Thiruvananthapuram: The other day, a group of madrasah students were allegedly attacked in Peramaba, Kozhikode district, due to an argument over pasting posters on private property.

They claimed the property owner initially gave permission, but when they returned with the posters and asked again, the situation turned violent. Students said that they were forcibly locked in a house and asked questions about religious issues and issues related to Syria, Iran and Israel. The attackers allegedly prevented them from leaving, attacked them and labeled them terrorists.

Brotherhood Movement, the student wing of Jamaat-e-Islami, claimed that the attack was carried out by a group affiliated with the Hindutva ideology and that the police did not take the matter seriously.

The injured students were treated in surrounding hospitals.

Meanwhile, the Muslim Students Federation (MSF), the student wing of the Indian Union Muslim League, demanded the immediate arrest of the attackers.
