Maggie-May Ann Moody: Heartbroken family pay tribute to baby girl killed in Yorkshire dog attack

A three-month-old girl who died after being bitten by a dog brought “meaning and purpose to every day” to her family, it is recalled.

Maggie-May Ann Moody died on 9 April in Dormanstown, Redcar and Cleveland.

Armed police shot a dog on the property after the incident, while another was later put down.

The baby’s family released a photo and tribute via Cleveland Police on Friday.

“Maggie changed us in so many ways,” the statement said.

“He was our everything. He gave us meaning and purpose every day, and we feel empty.

“As parents and family, we were deprived of a beautiful life and memories with him.

“As a family, we were all with Maggie in the hospital and never left her side.

“Her brother and sister adored little Maggie and will miss her dearly as they have plans for the rest of their lives.

“Our lives will never be the same again, he will always be in our hearts.”

Following the incident, two men, aged 36 and 45, and a 31-year-old woman were arrested.

They were later released on conditional bail.
