Major brand opens store on UK high street – it’s already popular with customers | UK | News

A popular brand opened a new store in Scotland this weekend and hundreds of people lined up to get their hands on special prizes. Lifestyle brand MINISO opened at The Center in Livingston on Saturday, with more than 300 eager customers waiting in line for more than four hours.
The first 200 people to spend £5 received a gift bag worth £25. MINISO is famous among young people for its soft toys, figurines and unique collections of brands such as Hello Kitty and Harry Potter. Its opening was celebrated with a ribbon cutting, live music and a show by its mascot, PenPen.
Helen Cornwell started lining up before 8 a.m., taking her daughters Bonnie, 10, and Andie, 8, with her.
He told The Scotsman: “My girls love all things MINISO, including soft toys and keychains, so I thought I’d make their day and queue up early with them to get a first look – and it was worth the wait.
“They both loved browsing the store and buying a goody bag. I have a feeling we will become regular visitors.”
MINISO wasn’t the only new store opening at the mall this weekend; He joins Wingstop, F. Hinds, Flying Tiger and The Works.
Simon Eatough, LCP UK Director and asset manager at The Centre, said: “This has been a truly exciting time for us and our customers at The Centre, Livingston, as we welcome four new brands to the shopping centre, including MINISO, Flying Tiger, The Works and Wingstop.
“There was such fantastic excitement in the air over the weekend, with shoppers turning up not only to see the new stores for the first time, but also to enjoy some of the Black Friday sales.
“Our new openings continue to further enhance our offering for visitors to have a great day shopping and dining out at their favorite shops and restaurants in the run-up to Christmas.”
