Major hunt for woman who left hospital after giving birth | UK | News

The Metropolitan Police are deeply concerned for the welfare of a woman in her 20s who left Romford hospital shortly after giving birth. Officers were alerted at around 5pm after he left hospital on Tuesday, December 30.

Her newborn baby remains safely under the care of staff at the hospital and is in good health. She is described as having a slim build and dark hair and was last seen wearing a light-coloured top and patterned skirt.

Police are increasingly concerned about his welfare and are urging the public to come forward with any information.

Detective Inspector Neil Godwin, who led the Met’s investigation, said: “This woman has just given birth and is therefore extremely vulnerable.

“This is not a criminal investigation; we need to locate him to make sure he is okay.

“If you know where this woman is or have any information about this, it is incredibly important that you tell us so we can ensure she receives the right support.”
