The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced on Wednesday that the Hamas terrorist who killed surveillance soldier Corporal Noa Marciano held captive in Gaza has been eliminated.

The attack on a group of terrorists, including Mohammed Isam Hasan al-Habil, reportedly followed a night attack by Hamas that injured Israeli soldiers in northern Gaza, in violation of the ceasefire agreement.

In the statement made by the Israeli Armed Forces, it was stated that El Habil, one of the important cell commanders of Hamas, was killed in the air attack on the Shati refugee camp in Gaza City.

The IDF also said through Israeli Security Agency (ISA) interrogation that Al-Habil brutally murdered 19-year-old Marciano in Hamas captivity.

The Israeli soldier was kidnapped from Nahal Öz police station during the terrorist organization’s massacre on October 7.

He was injured in an air strike by the Israeli army on November 9, 2023, while in the hands of Hamas, and was later taken to Shifa Hospital in Gaza City.

His body was eventually found by Israeli forces in November 2023 and returned to Israel for burial in Modi’in, where he lived with his family.

Abu Assi was believed to have played a role in keeping the deceased hostages in captivity while directing terrorist plots against IDF troops.

Ali Raziana, commander of the Islamic Jihad terrorist organization’s Northern Gaza Brigade, was also killed, according to the IDF.
