The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced on Wednesday that the Hamas terrorist who killed surveillance soldier Corporal Noa Marciano held captive in Gaza has been eliminated.
The attack on a group of terrorists, including Mohammed Isam Hasan al-Habil, reportedly followed a night attack by Hamas that injured Israeli soldiers in northern Gaza, in violation of the ceasefire agreement.
In the statement made by the Israeli Armed Forces, it was stated that El Habil, one of the important cell commanders of Hamas, was killed in the air attack on the Shati refugee camp in Gaza City.
“In response to the blatant violation of the ceasefire agreement overnight, in the early hours today (Wednesday), the IDF and ISA shot and eliminated the terrorist Mohammed Issam Hassan al-Habil, the head of the Hamas terrorist cell,” the IDF said. he confirmed.

The IDF also said through Israeli Security Agency (ISA) interrogation that Al-Habil brutally murdered 19-year-old Marciano in Hamas captivity.
The Israeli soldier was kidnapped from Nahal Öz police station during the terrorist organization’s massacre on October 7.
He was injured in an air strike by the Israeli army on November 9, 2023, while in the hands of Hamas, and was later taken to Shifa Hospital in Gaza City.
His body was eventually found by Israeli forces in November 2023 and returned to Israel for burial in Modi’in, where he lived with his family.
After El Habil’s death was announced, Marciano’s mother, Adi Marciano, said that the family was promised that everyone involved in her daughter’s murder would be brought to justice. Times of Israel.

“This elimination results in the closure of the Marciano family and the IDF and ISA,” the IDF said.
“IDF and ISA will continue to operate against any terrorists involved in the brutal massacre of October 7 and against attempts by terrorist organizations in the Gaza Strip to carry out terrorist attacks against IDF troops and Israeli civilians.”

At around 1 a.m., terrorists opened fire on IDF forces in the Daraj Tuffah area, seriously wounding a reserve officer.

In the attack in which El Habil was killed, three suspects were identified who approached the yellow line south of Khan Yunus and were considered to pose a threat to the troops. The suspects were later shot, the IDF said.
Among those killed, in addition to Al Habil, was Bilal Abu Assi, commander of the Hamas Nukhba detachment that led the massacre at Kibbutz Nir Oz on October 7.

Abu Assi was believed to have played a role in keeping the deceased hostages in captivity while directing terrorist plots against IDF troops.
Ali Raziana, commander of the Islamic Jihad terrorist organization’s Northern Gaza Brigade, was also killed, according to the IDF.
