YouTuber arrested again for posting defamatory videos targeting Congress leader

Rajan Joseph was arrested by Adoor police on Thursday after he allegedly uploaded fresh defamatory videos against Pathanamthitta district panchayat member Sreena Devi Kunjamma.

As part of the bail conditions, the complainant was instructed not to commit a similar crime again by targeting him.
However, police said that on the day she was released on bail, a new video targeting Kunjamma was uploaded and spread through a YouTube channel.
Authorities said that after the video reached the police, a new case was opened against Joseph and Sibi, who were featured in the video. Police arrested Joseph from Kochi on Thursday night and brought him to Adoor police station, officials said.

Efforts are on to trace and arrest his accomplice Sibi, the police added.
Kunjamma, a former CPI leader who joined the Congress last year, was elected to the Pathanamthitta district panchayat in the local body elections.
He alleged that Joseph had uploaded more than 20 videos targeting him since his days in the CPI and had similarly posted content against many other politicians, including Left leaders.
