Major police update on Nigel Farage ‘guillotine’ post shared by Polanski | Politics | News

Scotland Yard has released a major update. Nigel Farage recommended Zack Polanski should be arrested for Sharing a “provocative” post on Instagram. It showed a man wearing a rainbow-coloured hat and black T-shirt showing the guillotine, with the words “Planning just for Nigel”.

UK ReformationIts leader shared a copy of the sickening post, claiming: “Zack Polanski just posted this on Instagram. If I were to post something this provocative I would expect to be arrested and so would Polanski.”

The Instagram post, which was liked more than 600 times on the image-sharing platform, was later removed from Polanski’s Instagram account.

A Green Party spokesperson said: “After attending a public event, Zack accepted a request to collaborate on a post featuring a variety of images.

“When this image was brought to his attention, he immediately shared the post. He absolutely does not support such dangerous messages.”

After the footage was published, Scotland Yard confirmed they had been notified of it.

A spokesperson for the Met said: “On Monday 27 July, we received a third-party report about an image shared on social media.

“We take such reports extremely seriously and officers are investigating the matter.”

The post comes two weeks after the murder of former Conservative Party minister and Daily Express columnist Ann Widdecombe. The alleged attacker, Joshua Kerry, 28, from Rotherham, South Yorkshire, appeared in court on Tuesday, July 21, charged with murder.

He spoke only to confirm his identity and did not enter a plea. He was ordered to remain in custody and is due to appear at the Old Bailey on October 9.

Reform England’s home affairs spokesman, Zia Yusuf, said the party had reported the Instagram post to the police.

Mr Yusuf said Reform had also reported the Green Party leader to the monitoring officer of the London Assembly, of which Mr Polanski is a member.

In a video posted on account X, Mr Yusuf urges his followers to consider what would happen if Mr Farage acted in a similar way.

He said: “Obviously that will never happen because Nigel is not that type of person. But I want you to think about what the consequences would be if it did.

“Given that Reformation reported Zach Polanski to the police for incitement, we are extremely interested in seeing how authorities respond.”
