Major retailer announces store to close as huge sale launched | UK | News

Passersby saw signs saying “All stock must go” and “Store is closing.” The store is located in Silverburn in Glasgow.
While the signs confirmed that the store was closed, customers were not informed about when the store would last close its doors.
Earlier this year a third of Quiz’s stores in the UK and Ireland were closed as part of restructuring efforts following major financial difficulties experienced by the chain. The retailer summoned executives at Teneo in February as sales began to decline, resulting in the closure of numerous Quiz stores.
Additionally, Quiz Giyim’s shares were delisted from the London Stock Exchange. Quiz Clothing stores in Scotland were previously shuttered in Glasgow, Dundee, Falkirk, Motherwell and Aberdeen, as well as Brighton, Bristol, Liverpool, Milton Keynes and Swansea.
Sheraz Ramzan, Quiz’s chief executive, said earlier this year: “The board has taken the difficult decision to appoint administrators for Zandra Retail Limited in light of ongoing difficult trading conditions which are impacting on the group’s performance.
“We deeply regret those affected by store closures, including our retail colleagues.”
