Man, 30s, found stabbed to death in house in Leicester – police make six arrests

The police made six arrests after discovering that a man in his 30s died in a house in Leicester.

The officers joined the property on Sawley Street at 1.37 hours in the early hours of Sunday, where they found the man who had a knife wound and pronounced dead at the scene.

Leicestershire police launched a murder investigation and said six men were arrested.

A 44 -year -old man was arrested on suspicion of murder, and five people between the ages of 24 and 53 were arrested on suspicion of helping a criminal. Currently in custody.

On Sunday, forensic medical officers and an expert search team examined the address, while other officers were checking the nearby CCTV and making investigations from home to home.

TdeteCtiive Chief Inspector Tim Lindley called on the incident to come to the fore.

He said: “While working to fully understand what is happening, special sources of policing are used for this operation.

“We believe that the incident took place in the early hours of this morning in the address of Sawley Street, and unfortunately a man died as a result.

“The victim and the man who is currently detained for the murder are known by each other, and now our priority is to determine exactly what is happening.

“During the day, civil servants talk to the inhabitants and offer assurance. This continues and we call on everyone who hears or sees anything that can help in our investigation.”
