Man arrested after body found dead burnt house in western Sydney
A man was found dead outside a partially burned property in Sydney’s west, while another man remains in hospital under police guard.
Emergency services were called to Wargon Crescent, Glenmore Park, at around 12.50am on Thursday when the man’s body was found outside a property where a small fire was also burning.
He has not yet been officially identified but is believed to be in his 60s.
A 36-year-old man was arrested inside a car on Parkes Avenue, Werrington, at around 6.45am.
He was treated for minor injuries before being taken to Nepean Hospital under police guard.
Firefighters responded to and hosed down a small fire outside the Glenmore Park property.
Detectives are investigating the Glenmore Park scene and have appealed for CCTV or dashcam footage from the area.
