Man arrested after fatal stabbing in suburbs

A man has been arrested at the scene of a fatal stabbing at a suburban property, where another man was found with multiple stab wounds.

Emergency services were called to Emu Plains in Sydney’s west at about 6.45pm on Thursday to reports of a stabbing.

Officers arrived at the Clouta Place address and found a man believed to be in his 50s with multiple stab wounds to his upper body.

Medical teams intervened at the scene, but he could not be saved.

A 31-year-old man was arrested at the scene and taken to Penrith Police Station.

A crime scene has been established and the investigation is ongoing.
