Max Verstappen smiled as Sky Sports commentator Martin Brundle described his race as a “championship race”.
“It was an incredible weekend for us, I knew the race wasn’t going to be easy,” he said.

“Managing the tires wasn’t easy… I’m incredibly proud of everyone for making it such a weekend.”
Lando Norris laughed when asked about his incredible fight with Charles Leclerc and admitted that he did not expect it to be this difficult.
“I was expecting a slightly easier second attempt to pass, but that wasn’t the case,” he said.
