Man arrested for ‘assaulting’ patient’s attendant

Machavaram police on Saturday (March 28, 2026) arrested a man for allegedly sexually assaulting a patient’s attendant at the Government General Hospital (GGH) in Vijayawada. Machavaram Circle Inspector DV Ramana said that the accused, identified as Ameen, allegedly took the victim to his house in Metla Bazar in Krishnalanka and committed the crime on Friday, March 27. CI said that upon complaint, the suspect was arrested and brought to court.
