Man arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after vehicle hits pedestrians in London | London

A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a vehicle hit multiple pedestrians on a busy London road before driving away, police said.
Five people were injured in the incident, which took place on Ealing Broadway in west London at around 14.30 on Saturday, three of whom were later taken to hospital.
Counter-terrorism police in London conducted an initial investigation but the incident is not being treated as terrorism.
A Somali-born British man has been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and attempted murder, the Metropolitan Police said.
Police added that he was detained “a short time later” in nearby Grange Park.
None of the injuries were life-threatening or life-changing. Two people who were not taken to hospital were treated at the scene.
Police said: “Due to the nature of the incident, local police officers were in contact with officers from the counter-terrorism police in London as they carried out their initial investigation.
“While investigators remain open-minded about any possible motive, the incident is not being treated as terrorism.
“Roads have been closed in the area and may remain closed for some time while police investigations continue.”
