Man caught sexually harassing physically challenged woman

Angry residents chased and caught a 30-year-old man who was allegedly caught sexually abusing a physically challenged girl alone at his house in Adugodi on Sunday, November 9, 2025.

The accused was identified as unemployed Vikram, a resident of LR Nagar, near the victim’s house.

According to the police, the victim’s mother, who worked as a domestic help, returned home from work on Sunday, November 9, 2025, and found the door locked from the inside. When he forced the door open after repeated attempts, he saw that his daughter was undressed and frightened. He later found Vikram hiding behind a door.

Mr. Vikram tried to escape but was chased and caught by residents after his mother raised an alarm for help. Angry residents tied up Mr Vikram and beat him before he was handed over to the police.

Adugodi police registered a case under Sections 75 (sexual harassment), 76 (assault or criminal use of force on woman with intent to undress), 115 (voluntarily causing hurt) and 333 (home invasion) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). Authorities reported that the suspect was transferred to the courthouse and arrested after his procedures at the police station.
