Man dead, toddlers taken to hospital
Specialist police investigating a crash in Western Sydney that left one person dead and two children hospitalized will look at how seat belts were used before the fatal crash on Sunday afternoon.
Police were called to Stuart Road, Dharruk, near Mount Druitt, at around 5.20pm following reports that a Subaru had crashed into a tree.
Police said one of the six passengers (male) was partially ejected from the vehicle.
He died at the scene.
The female driver, two men and two young children were taken to Westmead Hospital and the Children’s Hospital at Westmead.
“The adults are reported to be in a serious but stable condition, while the children, believed to be boys, are reported to be stable,” police said in a statement Sunday night. he said.
Officers have not yet spoken to anyone regarding the matter.
