The history of Palestine and the Jewish peoples

If Palestinians are also Semitic, what does “antisemitism” really mean? Colonel Jennings reporting.

THE CANANINES were tribal people who occupied most of the area known as Palestine. However, if we believe that Abraham, the ancestor of the Jewish race, came to Jerusalem from Salem and was taught by Melchizedek, who first introduced him to the concept of one God, this is B.C. It would be around 2000. The Jewish race would not have existed before Abraham came from the east.

Archaeological and genetic data support the idea that both Jews and Palestinians descend from ancient Canaanites, who mixed extensively with Egyptians, Mesopotamians, and Anatolian peoples in ancient times. According to Suciu-Foca N. and Lewis R. Hum (immunologists from Bethesda National Library, USA), the genetic profile of Palestinians was investigated for the first time using human leukocyte antigen (HLA) gene variability and haplotypes.

Comparison with other Mediterranean populations using neighbor-joining dendrograms and correspondence analysis reveals that Palestinians are genetically very close to Jews and other Middle Eastern populations, including Turks (Anatolians), Lebanese, Egyptians, Armenians, and Iranians.

Most of these people are of Semitic origin, so to speak. It is wrong to say that antisemitism is only about Jewish people.

Palestinians themselves are Semitic people.

The history of Palestine is marked by significant events spanning thousands of years, from ancient civilizations to modern political developments. The earliest evidence of human settlement was around 220,000 BC, when Archaic people occupied Qesem Cave in what is now Palestine.

Around 9000 BC, Natufian hunter-gatherers established a permanent settlement at Jericho, one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities. In 1200 BC, Philistines settled in the coastal areas of Palestine, leading to the founding of the region known as Canaan.

Saul (1079-1007 BC) was the first king of the United Kingdom of Israel according to the Bible and the Quran. The heir to the throne was his son-in-law David, and according to some sources, the establishment of the Kingdom of Israel took place in 1000 B.C. when King David captured Jerusalem. It happened in 1000.

The Hebrews did not have a written language in general use long after they reached Palestine. They learned the use of the alphabet from neighboring Palestinians who were political refugees from the high civilization of Crete. Because they had no written language until such a late date, there were several different creation stories in circulation, but after the Babylonian captivity they became more inclined to accept a modified Mesopotamian version.

From 700 BCE to 50 CE, or for more than six hundred years, the Jews of Judea and later the Jews of Galilee were also at hostility with the Samaritans. This ill-feeling between Jews and Samaritans manifested itself as follows: While suppressing a rebellion in Central Palestine, the Assyrian king Sargon took and enslaved more than 25,000 Jews in the northern kingdom of Israel, replacing them with nearly equal numbers of Katie, Sepharvite, and Haematite descendants. Later, Ashurbanipal sent other colonies to settle in Samaria.

This was around the beginning of the rise of the Roman Empire and its complete domination of the politics of Europe, North Africa and the Near East.

A short history of stolen Palestine

After the Romans conquer Judea, Palestine becomes a Roman province. After the Roman Empire collapsed, the lands of Palestine passed into the hands of the Christian Byzantine Empire.

Later, in 638 AD, an Arab Muslim caliph seized Palestine from the Byzantine empire and made it part of the Arab Muslim empire. During this period, most of the people living in Palestine became Arab Muslims and converted to Islam. However, Palestine can never become an official state, nation or country even under the rule of these Muslims.

Later, in 1099 AD, Christian Crusaders from Europe captured the Palestine region and took it from the Muslims. However, Christian crusaders still failed to make Palestine an official state or country. They only used this place as a military outpost.

Later, Palestine falls into the hands of Syria. Later, Palestine from Syria fell into the hands of the Ottoman Turks. Later, after World War I, the British took Palestine from the Ottoman Turks.

The British were temporarily ruling Palestine under the League of Nations.

Again, during all these transitions and takeovers, none of these peoples or countries declared Palestine an official state or country!

Now here’s the really interesting part. Towards the 1850s, Jewish people began to migrate back to Palestine in small groups. The land was basically dry, barren, desolate and unpleasant. By 1948, the perception of the Jewish people was that they truly believed that they could be better rulers of this land. Have the Jewish people forgotten their belief in the Year of Jubilee and restorative justice every fifty years? Give back and make everything equal again – and under Christian ideals we must ask: Are these lands ours? Do the Jewish people still believe in loving kindness and justice for all? I’m sure the people do this, but not their leaders.

Promoting a two-state solution to the Palestinian/Israeli conflict is one thing, but if the land is already a pile of rubble and people are living refugee-type lives, the likelihood of providing a safe, economic and peaceful homeland is almost nil – even if Israel has the will to allow that to happen. Historically, the Holy Land was divided between Jews, Arabs and Palestinians. Did anyone actually see this happen? I realize that most Palestinians will grieve the loss of their legitimate homeland, but until a safe solution is found, a better solution would certainly be for the world community to offer them a place in ‘our’ countries. Just a thought!

Terrorism and the Israeli-Palestinian conflict

The Maps below show the gradual erosion of Palestinian territory from 1946 onwards.

Since 1946, Israel and its allies have never allowed the establishment of a legitimate “homeland” for Palestinians. It has been discussed at the UN and among world leaders since 1946. Nothing concrete has been done by world powers to allow the Palestinian people to ‘occupy’ their own land. Australia and the United States have consistently allowed subsequent Israeli Governments to thwart their firm aim of making Palestine a state in its own right with some legal ownership.

The land currently left for the Palestinians to occupy is a barren land, constantly bombed, and its people have become almost refugees without any proper financial support or assistance with health, shelter or food.

The fact that Western countries that support Israel allow this to happen puts them in the role of liquidators rather than saviors. So-called Christian leaders may need to be reminded that Jesus Christ was a ‘Palestinian’ by settlement, even if his parents were Jewish.
